Sue Scobie
Sue recently moved to Nelson from Wellington and works from her home studio. She first started working with ceramics part-time at Hornsby TAFE Northern Sydney in the early 1990s. She primarily takes inspiration from the world around her - the colours, forms, sounds and textures of the land, sea and bush are limitless. All of Sue’s work is hand-formed by pinching and coiling using combinations of porcelain and stoneware clays with the silky, translucent porcelain contrasting with the rough, gritty stoneware.
