Alison Hay
Alison is a Christchurch jeweller, working predominantly in silver. Metal is a material that Alison finds fascinating, particularly casting, where the metal becomes a liquid for a brief moment in time before becoming a new shape entirely. The natural world is an inspiration to her, particularly patterns in plants. She is also influenced by Maori and pacific jewellery/adornment, and cloaks woven from flax fibre.
