Katie Gold
Katie uses the icon of the vessel, she aims to express her art as simply and directly as possible and has chosen the vessel as a vehicle because of its qualities of shielding and containment. Over time her work has intensified, the forms become more open, the vessels more delicate and the colours more vibrant.
Each vessel is a representation of something vital and alive, an organic form of life. Her personal imagery is worked through with abstraction of colour, line, texture and form.
