Janine Cairns-Michael
Invercargill born, Janine, has been creating with metal and stone since the early 1990's. Her love of nature, both above and below the water, has influenced the shapes and textures that characterize her jewellery. Many of the patterns are embossed on to the metal using a paper template, which is used only once then discarded. The earthen elements have been gathered from lakes, riverbanks, and beaches from around southern New Zealand.
